FORTUNX is a business management and accounting platform designed to help professionals handle invoicing, time tracking, project management, and financial compliance.
challenge (Before Redesign).
The application’s original interface was functional but suffered from a lack of key professional tools and user-experience issues:
Missing Features: The Time Tracking section was empty, making it impossible to log billable hours directly.
Rigid Document Creation: Creating crucial documents like contracts and quotes was based on a simple, non-customizable form, limiting branding and flexibility.
Data Silos: Client/Supplier files lacked space for essential secondary data (e.g., attached documents, notes, map view of the address).

The FORTUNX UI/UX redesign was strategically executed to transform the application from a basic, rigid accounting tool into a modern, comprehensive, and productivity-oriented business management platform.
1. Revolutionizing Billable Time Tracking The critical flaw in the previous version was the passive, empty Time Tracking page. The solution involved integrating a full-fledged Time Tracker, enabling users to either start a timer or manually add billable work sessions. Every session is now clearly itemized with duration, hourly rate, total amount, and most importantly, the billing status (Invoiced or Not Invoiced), establishing a direct and vital link between work performed and the invoicing process.
2. Mastering Document Customization and Branding Previously, creating contracts or quotes involved filling out a rigid form, severely limiting customization and the professional look of client documents. This was resolved by introducing a Modular PDF Builder. This tool grants users complete control over the document's appearance and content through drag-and-drop functionality for blocks (Text, Image, Signature) and advanced style controls (font, color, alignment), transforming document creation into a flexible and brand-compliant experience.
3. Enhancing Strategic and Analytical Vision To provide users with more actionable insights, the Dashboard was optimized. The KPI cards now display percentage change indicators alongside absolute amounts (e.g., Revenue, Result). These trend indicators offer an immediate understanding of the business's performance trajectory (increase or decrease) without requiring additional navigation or calculation, thus improving strategic oversight.
4. Centralizing and Enriching Contact Data Client and supplier files were enriched to serve as comprehensive information hubs. Beyond the basic contact details, the new interface now includes a dedicated section for Notes, a Map View for the contact's address, and an area for Attached Documents (reports, critical files). This data centralization improves operational efficiency by making all relevant information and supporting documents accessible on a single page.
These improvements collectively demonstrate a targeted redesign approach that not only modernized the aesthetic of FORTUNX but critically addressed major functional gaps to deliver a high-value product.
